The process.

This process has it´s ups and downs. Mostly downs. It does take lot of collecting different papers, proving that we really know each other - that we have actually met in person and keeping in touch. My careful estimate is that we should be in half way with the process at the moment. What has happened so far? He filed in the necessary papers, got notice that Homeland Security received, got asked for more papers and then finally approved! It took three months to get here. Now waiting to hear from my consulate about the next step.

It´s not really all the paperwork that brings me down. For me the most difficult thing has been dealing with the fact that I can´t tell about my/our future. I don´t know for sure I´ll get the visa (well yes, there should be no problem but you never know) and if I get it I don´t know when. So sometimes it feels like my life is on hold, already have set my mind to go but still stuck here. That feels frustrating at times. Then I become grumpy. Have to give him credit for not going along and keeping my mind set on what´s important. And what´s important? Despite the ups and downs, every day we are one day closer being together. I try to take this as a lesson of living on this moment... I´m just not so good at it.

I miss us being together so much right now. *sigh*
